Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs your use of the services provided by
OSHOST (Oshosting (OPC) Pvt. Ltd.) ("OShost") and is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service. Unless otherwise defined, the terms in this AUP hold the meanings provided in the Terms of Service. We may modify this AUP at any time without notice.
You shall use the Services only for lawful purposes. Transmission, storage, or display of any information, data, or material in violation of applicable laws or regulations is strictly prohibited. We reserve the right to terminate the Services for any customer that exposes OShost to legal liability or threatens its ability to provide services to other customers. You agree to indemnify and hold OShost harmless from any claims resulting from your use of the Services.
1. Prohibited Uses
No Illegal or Harmful Use
You may not use the Services to publish content or engage in activities harmful to others or illegal under applicable law. Examples include but are not limited to:
- Disclosing private sensitive personal information about others;
- Distributing malware or malicious code;
- Hosting or promoting child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or content harmful to minors;
- Engaging in phishing, identity theft, or money laundering;
- Selling weapons, ammunition, or contraband;
- Hosting or linking to deceptive websites (e.g., those listed at aa419.org and escrow-fraud.com);
- Infringing upon intellectual property rights, including unauthorized distribution of copyrighted works such as movies, music, or software.

No Unauthorized System Access or Network Abuse
You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system or network. Examples of prohibited activities:
- Probing or scanning networks without permission;
- Conducting Denial of Service (DoS) attacks;
- Intercepting data without authorization;
- Running file-sharing sites or IRC-based software;
- Using automated tools like bots or crawlers for unauthorized purposes.
Don’t Hamper System Performance
Excessive resource usage, scripts, or processes that impact server performance are prohibited.
No Adult Content or Escort Services
Distribution of pornography or adult content is not permitted.
No Backup Storage
The use of hosting accounts for personal data backup purposes is prohibited.
2. Defamation and Objectionable Content
While we value freedom of expression, we reserve the right to remove content that:
- Violates laws or this AUP;
- Causes harm to others or OShost’s operations.
We may require a court order for takedown actions in certain cases but retain sole discretion to act as necessary.
3. Enforcement
Resellers
If a reseller’s customer violates this AUP, we may suspend the customer’s account and notify the reseller. Repeated violations may result in the reseller’s account termination.
Direct Customers
We may terminate your account without notice if you violate this AUP. Violations may be reported to law enforcement where applicable.
Failure to respond to communications from our compliance team within
48 hours may result in suspension or termination.
